Social engineering: a method of hacking and fraud that depends on the human element The attacker uses all his skills, deception methods and psychological tricks to communicate with others. to obtain the required information whereby he can make the hack, Social engineering requires certain forms of impersonation in order to gain the victim's trust As the assailant impersonated the status of a customer relationship officer through social Media pages, They are human-based engineering, and they are human-based crimes without technical interference.
There are several methods of social engineering: persuasion, such as communicating with the victim by phone or social media, Spying and tapping as password theft and important information by monitoring the victim The most social engineering attack is voice fraud, that is, impersonating a person. or obtaining powers in quirky ways to withdraw information from the victim, and do not forget disturbing messages and electronic trolling which is one of the most important methods of social engineering which is an e-mail that reaches the victim and contains link to a fake page, appearing similar to the official website
There are different ways that provide personal protection for individuals from social engineering: you shouldn’t put personal information online, not share personal data even with the closest people, avoid interacting with e-mails, and use a strong password for banking services.
