يسعى هذا البحث إلى دراسة أحد المصطلحات النحوية المركزية في التصور النحوي العربي هو مصطلح الكلام، و الوقوف على مدارات استعماله وتوظيفه في مؤلفات علم من أعلام الفكر الإسلامي هو الإمام فخر الدين الرازي. وبيان ذلك إنما يتم بِتبيُّن المفهوم النحوي لمصطلح "الكلام" في عدد من مؤلفاته، وتتبع مكوناته المادية والصورية والتركيبية، ورصد أنواعه من جهة ماهيته ومن جهة معناه ومن جهة مكوناته، والإحاطة بوظائفه المتعددة المتمثلة في: الوظيفة الإفصاحية التواصلية، والوظيفة التأثيرية التعبيرية،والوظيفة الإفهامية، والوظيفة المعيارية، والوظيفة المرجعية التأصيلية.
وتأتي هذه الدراسة خلاصة تجربة بحثية استكشافية قادت الباحث إلى التنقيب في تراث الفخر الرازي في محاولة للكشف عن مقومات تفكيره النحوي، والإحاطة بالمنظومة الاصطلاحية والمفهومية النحوية التي وظفها في شرح الكثير من المسائل والأحكام النحوية التي كانت تعرض له في سياق مناقشته لمسألة فقهية، أو تفسيره لآية قرآنية، أو رده على مسألة كلامية أو فلسفية، أو شرحه لصورة بيانية. ومن أبرز مصطلحات هذه المنظومة التي تم التركيز عليها بالدرس والتحليل في هذا البحث مصطلح "الكلام"، وقد أنجزت هذه الدراسة وفق منهج علمي صارم هو منهج الدراسة المصطلحية. أما محصل ما خلصت إليه فيتمثل في الكشف عن درجة الوعي المصطلحي النحوي عند الإمام الرازي بصفة عامة، والوقوف على مدى قدرته على تفسير الظواهر والقضايا الملابسة للمصطلح النحوي بصفة خاصة، واستجلاء قوته في توظيف المصطلح النحوي والإحاطة بكل جزئياته وتفاصيله بصفة أخص.

This research seeks to study one of the central grammatical terms in the Arabic perception, which is the term “kalàm”, by studying its use and applications in the literature of the most prominent Scientist of Islamic thought: The Imam Fakhr al-Din al-Razi.It is explained by understanding the grammatical concept of the term “kalam” in numerous of his books. Tracing its material, formalistic and structural components, and determining its multiple functions: The communicative function, the influential and expressive function, the informational function, the normative function, and the referential function.
This study is a summary of the exploratory research experience that led to exploring the great heritage of Al-Fakhr Al-Razi. In an attempt to uncover the components of his grammatical thinking, we will analyze the conceptual and grammatical system that he employed to explain many of the grammatical issues presented to him throughout his discussions whether on jurisprudential issues, his interpretations of Quranic verses, his answers to theological or philosophical issues, or his explanation of rhetorical images. One of the most prominent terms of this system is the term "kalàm".
The study was conducted accordingly to a strict scientific method: the terminological study method.We uncover the power of Imam Al-Razi in defining and employing the grammatical terms and being aware of all its parts and details. This research seeks to study particularly one of the central grammatical terms in the Arabic perception, which is the term “kalàm”. We're examining its use and applications in the literature of the most prominent Scientist of Islamic thought: The Imam Fakhr al-Din al-Razi. The purpose is to reveal his degree of awareness in grammatical terminology and to focus on his exceptional ability in explaining the phenomena and issues surrounding it.
