تناولت في الكتاب ترجمة منارة من منارات العلم في القطر اليماني كشخصية علمية فذة مرنة، عرفت بإظهار الحق وحسن المعاملة لكل من يأتيه، والمداراة من غير مداهنة، فنال حب الجميع.
شخصية عرفت بالعطاء الحافل والتدريس المتواصل في المسجد ينشر العلم لطلاب يأتونه من أصقاع اليمن ومن خارجها ينهلون من علمه وسمته وأدبه في وقت قل من يتفرغ لمثل هذه المهمة التي لم ينقطع عنها إلا لمرض أو سفر منذ أن أجازه مشائخه، فقد عرفه أهل صنعاء منقطعًا للدرس والإفتاء، فما زالوا يترددون عليه ويختلفون إلى دروسه المتنوعة لما يجدون عنده من سعة في العلم ودراية بالمذاهب ووسطية في الفتوى وحكمة في نقل العلم.
وجاء الكتاب في مقدمة وأربعة فصول؛ ركز المبحث الأول على عصر المترجم له من الناحية السياسية والدينية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والتعليمية، وآثار تلك النواحي على المجتمع بشكل عام.
وتناولت في الفصل الثاني نسبه وأسرته وحياته التعليمية بشيءٍ من التفصيل معلقًا على المنهج الذي اتبعه القاضي في مرجلة الطلب، والعوامل التي ساهمت في تكوين شخصيته.
وأما الفصل الثالث فقد خصصته لحياته الدعوية وإسهاماته العلمية، والاجتماعية، ثم السياسية التي لم تكن بدافع ذاتي، بل أكره عليها رحمه الله فقد كان يكره الانخراط في العمل السياسي.
وتوجت الكتاب بفصل عن حياته العلمية وقلمه السيال الذي سجل فيه بحوثًا ورسائل واستدراكات على ثلة ممن سبقه من العلماء الأجلاء، وفتاوى ظلت حبيسة حينًا من الدهر فنوهت لها وذكرت طرفًا منها بشيءٍ من الإيجاز ثم أوصيت ذوي الهمم العالية ممن له صلة بالشيخ بإخراجها وتنقيحها، والحمد لله فقد توالت بعده الكتب والرسائل، فظهر منها الكثير وخرجت إلى الأمة بثوب قشيب ولله الحمد والمنة.

In the book, I dealt with the translation of a beacon from the beacons of science in the Yemeni country as a unique and flexible scientific personality, known for showing the truth and good treatment to everyone who comes to him, and politeness without flattery, and he won the love of everyone.
A person known for his generous giving and continuous teaching in the mosque, spreading knowledge to students who come to him from all parts of Yemen and from outside, who benefit from his knowledge, his character and his manners, at a time when few devote themselves to such a task, which he did not stop from except for illness or travel since his sheikhs permitted him. They still frequent him and disagree with his various lessons because of what they find with him of knowledge, knowledge of doctrines, moderation in fatwas, and wisdom in transferring knowledge.
The book came in an introduction and four chapters; The first topic focused on the era of the translator in terms of political, religious, social, economic and educational terms, and the effects of those aspects on society in general.
In the second chapter, I dealt with his lineage, his family and his educational life in some detail, commenting on the approach that the judge followed in the request process, and the factors that contributed to the formation of his personality.
As for the third chapter, I devoted it to his advocacy life and his scientific, social, and then political contributions, which were not self-motivated. Rather, he was compelled, may God have mercy on him, for he hated engaging in political work.
The book culminated in a chapter on his scientific life and his pen Al-Sayal, in which he recorded research, letters, and redresses on a group of distinguished scholars who preceded him. After him, books and letters followed, and many of them appeared, and she went out to the nation in a dress of feathers, praise be to God.
