وبناء عليه، تتضح أهمية إنشاء نظام متميز، يضمن إدخال بيانات الإنتاج العلمي وتحديثها بالجامعة، وذلك على قاعدة بيانات شاملة وموحدة، والتأكد من صحة هذه البيانات وعدم تكرارها، بحيث تكون هي المصدر الرئيس لإمداد جميع منسوبي الجامعة والمستفيدين والوحدات والإدارات التي تحتاج إلى هذه البيانات، مثل وحدات البحث العلمي، وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، والباحثين والطلاب، بالإضافة إلى تزويد متخذي القرار والجهات المعنية داخل الجامعة وخارجها بما تحتاج إليه من إحصاءات ومؤشرات وتقارير.

This research paper aims to shed light on the documentation of scientific production through the scientific production hall in universities, as international universities tend to document their scientific production represented in the research outputs of published scientific papers, books, theses and patents, so that they can follow up and evaluate performance and link it to the strategic plan of the university . The problem of information availability is not limited to universities only, but it is a problem that represents a major challenge for decision makers in all international universities. Obtaining comprehensive information for scientific production also represents a major challenge, due to the multiplicity of agencies responsible for and supporting scientific research, and the independence of each agency with its own database that is not connected to other agencies.
Accordingly, the importance of establishing a distinct system that ensures the entry and update of scientific production data at the university is based on a comprehensive and unified database, and to ensure that this data is correct and not repeated, so that it is the main source of supply for all university employees, beneficiaries, units and departments that need this data, Such as scientific research units, faculty members, researchers and students, in addition to providing decision makers and concerned parties inside and outside the university with the statistics, indicators and reports they need.
The scientific production base system is linked to the framework of scientific research, which is the second pillar of the university after teaching, because it is a tool for disseminating, renewing and developing scientific knowledge in various scientific, engineering, applied, health and human fields. Achieving global leadership, preparing research plans that address long- and short-term scientific research priorities, coordinating their application among the university units according to their research fields, improving scientific research outputs from knowledge production, invention, innovation, and application of research and development results, and providing an environment of scientific excellence that helps achieve an advanced global classification of the university and recognition Dooley for her research performance, and for contributing to the establishment of a knowledge society that reflects on the intellectual development and prosperity of society.
