هدف البحث إلى التعرف على مستوى السمات الشخصية وعلاقتها بمتغيرات الجنس والعمر وسنوات الخبرة لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية الآداب، وكذلك معرفة مستويات الفروق في مستوى السمكات الشخصية التي تعزى لمتغيرات الجنس ، والعمر ، وسنوات الخبرة، وهل هناك فروق علاقة ارتباطية دالة من السمات الشخصية لدى عينة البحث التي تكونت من (39) عضو هيئة تدريس ذكورا وإناثا، واستخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي ومقياس ايزنك لقياس السمات الشخصية المأخوذ من دراسة خالد خميس دحلان 2007م. حيث قام الباحثان بإعادة تقنيته على البيئة الليبية لاستخراج صدقه وثباته، ومن أهم نتائج البحث: أن سمات الشخصية توجد بدرجة عالية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية الآداب، وأنه توجد علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين السمات الشخصية ومتغيرات الجنس والعمر وسنوات الخبرة عند مستوى دلالة 0.05 ، كما توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية على مقياس السمات الشخصية لمتغير الجنس لصالح الإناث عند مستوى دلالة (0.05)، وتوجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية على مقياس السمات الشخصية حسب متغير العمر لصالح الأعمار التي أقل من 30-49 عند مستوى دلالة (0.05).

The research aims to identify the level of personality traits and its
relationship with the variables of, gender, age, and years of
experience among the faculty members of the College of Arts at
Alasmarya lslamic University. Also, it studies whether there is a
correlation relationship between the personality traits of the study
sample and the variables of, gender, age, and years of experience.
The sample size consists of 39 teaching members. The descriptive
approach was used to achieve the research goals. Eysenck’s
Personality Traits Scale has been quoted from Dahlan K. K. (2007)
and adapted to meet the Libyan environment as well as it has been
tested for reliability and validity. The study revealed that teaching staff
at Arts Faculty experiences a high level of personality traits. Besides,
the findings showed that there is a statistically significant correlation at
the level of (a < 0.05) between personality traits and variables of sex,
age, and years of experience. lIn addition, there are statistically
significant differences between males and females on the scale of
personality traits in favor of females at a significance level (a > 0.05).
Moreover, there are statistically significant differences between ages
on the scale of personality traits in favor of the ages less than 30 - 49
at a significance level (a > 0.05).
