In our country, it is the duty of religious officials to carry out works related to the beliefs, worship and moral principles of the religion of Islam, to enlighten the society about religion and to manage places of worship. One of the conditions for those who do this duty to be a qualified religious officer in their profession is to know Arabic, the language of Islam. Knowledge of Arabic is the key for a religious official to be able to read and understand the Islamic sciences written from the first years of Islam to the present day. Our research was carried out in order to determine the problems seen in the Arabic language of the religious officials, to produce solutions and to contribute to their learning of Arabic, based on the opinions of the religious officials in Havza District Mufti. In our research, in which we used quantitative and qualitative methods, we conducted a descriptive study by conducting a questionnaire and face-to-face interviews. Our research was carried out between 10-17.10.2022 with the permission of Havza District Mufti. As the main question of our research, "Is it important to know Arabic for religious officials?" we asked. The findings of our research and our solution suggestions were analyzed in the article.
