The research aims to know the degree to which secondary school students, in Zliten city,
practice moral values from their teachers' point of view. It also aims to identify the
statistically significant differences attributed to the research variables (gender and
specialization) and the methods used by teachers to motivate their students and encourage
them to practice ethical values. The research sample is (235) male and female teachers and the
descriptive approach was adopted to achieve the aim of the study. The results revealed that
the level of Zliten Secondary School students' practice of moral values, from the teachers'
point of view, exceeded the average for all dimensions and that there are no statistically
significant differences in the degree to which secondary school students practice moral values
due to the variables of gender and specialization. The study recommends the necessity of
paying attention to the moral values derived from the sources of Islam by developing these
values for Secondary School students, especially those that revealed by the results of thepresent study that students practice them at lower rates. It is also recommended that the role of
the school's elements: curricula, management, activities and staff, should be activated so that
the mission of the school becomes more capable of influencing the students and instilling
moral values in them.
