يتكون البحث من قسمين: القسم الأول نقوم فيه بتحليل البيانات الموفرة حول واقع الأستاذ الجامعي من حيث دوره في العملية التعليمية وأهمية هذا الدور والمهام الملقاة على عاتقه، والتحديات التي تواجهه أثناء قيامه بدوره سواء العوامل الخارجية المتعلقة بالتطور العلمي وانتشار المعلومات والوضع العام للتعليم في الجامعات والظروف المادية والسياسية المحيطة، او العوامل الداخلية المتعلقة بكفاءة الأستاذ الجامعي نفسه ومؤهلاته التعليمية ومهاراته في أداء دوره التعليمي كما يلقي الضوء على مفهوم معايير ضمان الجودة من خلال مثال (نظام جودة التعليم في المملكة المتحدة) ويشرح أهمية وجود معايير جودة لأداء الأستاذ الجامعي. أما القسم الثاني فهو عبارة عن مجموعة توصيات تهدف للمساهمة برفع سوية الأستاذ الجامعي لمواجهة تلك التحديات من خلال: اقتراح بعض المعايير لاختيار الأستاذ الجامعي، وتوصيات بشأن برامج إعداد الأساتذة وكذلك بعض الإجراءات التي يجب أن تتخذها مؤسسات التعليم العالي للمساهمة في رفع كفاءة الأستاذ الجامعي وتخفيف عبء التحديات عن كاهله وجعله أكثر تمكنًا في أداء رسالته
Abstract
The research consists of two parts: The first part in which we analyze the data provided about the reality of the university professor in terms of his role in the educational process, the importance of this role and the tasks assigned to him, and the challenges he faces while performing his role, whether external factors related to scientific development, the spread of information, the general situation of education in universities, and the circumstances. The surrounding material and political factors, or the internal factors related to the competence of the university professor himself, his educational qualifications, and his skills in performing his educational role. It also sheds light on the concept of quality assurance standards through the example of (the education quality system in the United Kingdom) and explains the importance of having quality standards for the university professor’s performance. The second section is a set of recommendations aimed at contributing to raising the level of university professors to meet these challenges by: proposing some criteria for selecting university professors, recommendations regarding professor preparation programs, as well as some measures that must be taken by higher education institutions to contribute to raising the efficiency of university professors and reducing the burden. challenges on his shoulders and make him more empowered in carrying out his mission
