The research aims to illustrate the concept of educational technology and its manifestations. It highlights the benefits and disadvantages of educational technology, and to learn how systematically employ information technology in education. Itidentifies the concept of sustainable development, its elements and basic principles. It also identifies how education integrates sustainable development into strategic political policies , the importance of The employment of technology in education and its role in achieving sustainable development through the definition of information technology, the educational process, and the role of information technology in that, also the systematic employment of information technology in education, its importance and the desired benefits of educational technology, the definition of sustainable development, the difference between sustainable development and comprehensive development , Its goals and the basic principles of sustainable development (equity, empowerment, good governance and accountability, solidarity), the elements of sustainable development (the economic dimension, the social dimension, and the environmental dimension), the areas of sustainable development, and the integration of education for sustainable development into policies, strategies and programs, and also integrate education for sustainable development In curricula and textbooks.The descriptive and analytical approach was adopted, by referring to the theoretical literature related to the research topic, and by referring to previous and related studies (Arabic, local, and foreign ones), which dealt with the research topic, and a set of recommendations was formulated, the most important of which is the need to raise awareness of the importance of employing technology in education to achieve sustainable development.

يهدف البحث إلى توضيح مفهوم تكنولوجيا التعليم والمظاهر التي يبدو عليها, وتسليط الضوء على فوائد تكنولوجيا التعليم وعيوبها, ومعرفة كيفية التوظيف المنهجي لتكنولوجيا المعلومات في التعليم, وتعرف مفهوم التنمية المستدامة وعناصرها, والمبادئ الأساسية لها, وبيان كيفية دمج التعليم للتنمية المستدامة في السياسات الإستراتيجية السياسية, وأهمية توظيف التكنولوجيا في التعليم ودورها في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة, والفوائد المرجوة من تكنولوجيا التعليم, والفرق بين التنمية المستدامة والتنمية الشاملة, وأهدافها والمبادئ الأساسية للتنمية المستدامة (الإنصاف, التمكين, حسن الإدارة والمساءلة, التضامن), وعناصر التنمية المستدامة (البعد الاقتصادي, والبعد الاجتماعي, والبعد البيئي), ومجالات التنمية المستدامة, ودمج التعليم من أجل التنمية المستدامة في السياسات, والإستراتيجيات, والبرامج, وأيضًا دمج التعليم من أجل التنمية المستدامة في المناهج والكتب الدراسية.

وتم اعتماد المنهج الوصفي التحليلي, وذلك بالرجوع إلى الأدب النظري المتعلق بموضوع البحث, والرجوع إلى الدراسات السابقة ذات الصلة (العربية, والمحلية, والأجنبية), التي تطرقت إلى موضوع البحث, وتم صياغة مجموع من التوصيات, من أهمها ضرورة التوعية بأهمية توظيف التكنولوجيا في التعليم لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
