تؤكد فلسفة الكتابة التاريخية الحديثة على توثيق أو إعادة توثيـق تطور الأحداث برؤية علمية تعتمد منهجية تقوم على الأساس التحليلي في محاولة التأليف الابداعي التاريخي والجغرافي، وعليه فأن ما شهده العراق فجر 14 تموز 1958 يخضع لعدة متغيرات عالمية وإقليمية ومحلية، فقد كان حدثا كبيرا وتداعياته كانت الأبرز في القرن العشرين، ولأكثر من نصف قرن مضى كتب وقيل الكثير عن ذلك؛ ممن نظر او كان شاهدا وهي صحيحة الا في حالة ما ينفيها حقا. أن ما حدث في 14 تموز 1958 في العراق يخضع لعدة متغيرات عالمية وإقليمية ومحلية عملت طوال سنيين سابقة للحدث وكما يلي:
1. أن غالبية الضباط العراقيون الأقدم هم من ضباط الجيش العثماني والذين قدموا مع الملك فيصل الاول 1921 ولديهم رغبة الزعامة والرئاسة، كما ان للعديد من طلابهم الضباط فيما بعد ذات الرغبة ... و كما حدث في 1936/ بكر صدقي، و1941/ رشيد عالي، وتنظيم الضباط 1956 إلى 1958 ولم يتوقف.
2. الحماسة وما رافقها من المظاهرات الصاخبة والاحكام العرفية والاعتقالات 1952-1956 والتي قادتها الحركات والأحزاب الناشئة والتقليدية وقد ارتبطت تلك الحماسة بالسياقات الوطنية، وبتردي الأوضاع السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية، و ايضا بالسياقات القومية ممثلة بعدة مواقف منها؛ اعلام الصحافة والاذاعات للحكومات في سورية ولبنان ومصر.
3. تخلي بريطانيا سياسيا وليس اقتصاديا عن؛ العراق وكل مناطق ودول شرق السويس بعد 1956، وبروز الولايات المتحدة كقوة عالمية في أعقاب الحرب العالمية الثانية.
4. الدوافع الجيوسياسية محرك استراتيجيات الدول الرأسمالية وهي؛ استمرار سيطرتها وفقا لما ترسمه شركاتها الكبرى فالاقتصاد له القرار والسياسة تنفذ، وفي العراق مؤكد شركات النفط،
هــــكذا يتضح بأن المحرك لحدث تموز 1958 ليس؛ متغيرا واحدا فقط ، بدليل سلسلة الاحداث عبر نصف قرن لاحق.

Iraq witnessed a significant event on the morning of July 14, 1958, and its repercussions were the most notable of the twentieth century, Scientific principles confirm that judging history is a grave error. Major events are subject to significant variables that surpass individual opinions, statements, and desires, or a single variable, which is very important. What happened in Iraq on July 14, 1958, is subject to multiple global, regional, and local variables that had been at play for years before the event, as follows:
Most senior Iraqi officers were from the Ottoman army and came with King Faisal I in 1921. They had a desire for leadership and presidency, Thus, competition among them could reach the level of killing regardless of their relationships, as happened in 1936 (Bakr Sidqi), May 1941 (Rashid Ali), the officers' organization, and finally 1957 leading up to 1958, and beyond. Additionally, nascent parties led the enthusiasm— communist nationalist, Islamic, Ba'ath, and the older parties opposing the regime or its governments; the National Party, Independence Party. This enthusiasm was linked to national or nationalist contexts and the deterioration of economic and social conditions, some of which gradually improved after the establishment of the Reconstruction Council in 1950, factor was Britain's political, not economic, withdrawal from Iraq and all East Suez areas and countries after 1956.
The practical and media influence of the prevailing events at the time, such as Egypt in 1952 and Iran in 1953. The geopolitical motivations driving the strategies of capitalist countries, which continue their control according to what their major corporations draw up. Thus, the economy dictates, and politics executes. Thus, it becomes clear that the driver of the July 1958.
