I am enormously interested and honor to apply for this opportunity. I have M.Sc. candidate in Nuclear and Radiation physics at Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, Egypt in collaboration with Faculty of Engineering, British University in Egypt (BUE) at The Center for Theoretical physics (CTP). My research objective is “Monte-Carlo simulation-aided design for preparation of radiation shielding glasses”.In order to enhance my background, I used to attend scientific events and seminars in the center of theoretical physics at the British University in Egypt where I am a member at there. I have also gained practical experience through some internships at ICTP (international center of theoretical physics at Italy), and at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Russia as well, I have been working on my educational project "Mass Analyzer of Super Heavy Atoms” (MASHA) at Flerove for Nuclear Reaction Laboratory. I got hands-on experience at the Center for Theoretical Physics (CTP) of BUE where I had training on codes for GATE-Geant4 Monte Carlo Simulation program to the simulation of photons interact with matter. Recently I am a research assistant at International co-operation bet. Joint Institute for nuclear research, Dubna, Russia and Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, Egypt. I also managed to demonstrate leadership potential. I was an Entrepreneur of a team which participated in Innovate USA-Egypt programme, Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, Egypt. In general, my research in M.Sc. degree interested in focuses on modifying codes to simulate preparation of radiation shielding glasses. Furthermore, measuring the physical, optical and Shielding characterization for it. I conducted some applications concerning the design of optimum shielding for gamma and neutron radiations. Three papers are published and two more are submitted, recently I have got a membership in American Physical Society (APS). During my break since I was in undergraduate until now, I became more involved in my community by mentoring and volunteering. in my volunteer work. I am confident that participating in such this program which it will be improved my academic and personal skills. In addition, I expect the program will support my professional career path. I would like to say that I am eager to gain new experiences, I also believe such opportunity will reinforce my skills and will allow me to express my creative thinking, raise my spirit of defiance and determination and sharing thoughts with people from the academic side.
