يتناول هذا البحث دور البعثات التبشيرية اتجاه مسيحيي مدينة طرابلس_ مركز ولاية طرابلس الغرب_ في المدة الزمنية منذ منتصف القرن التاسع عشر حتى بدايات القرن العشرين، بتوافد عدد منها الى هذه المدينة من بعض الدول الأوروبية، بدوافع دينية واجتماعية محضة هادفة منها رعاية مسيحيي هذه المدينة، وتقديم الخدمات التعليمية والصحية لهم، وقد استخدمت أساليبها الخاصة لتوصيل الدعم في خدمات متنوعة من خلال فتح العديد من المدارس، والمؤسسات الخيرية، والمراكز الصحية لرعايتهم، لكن تبين لاحقا من خلال بعض الدراسات العربية أن هذه الخدمات كانت بمثابة التمهيد للغزو الصليبي مجددا للأراضي الليبية.

This research deals with the role of missionary missions towards the
Christians of the city of Tripoli - the center of the state of Tripoli in the West
- in the time period from the middle of the nineteenth century until the
beginning of the twentieth century, with a number of them coming to this city
from some European countries, with purely religious and social motives
aimed at caring for the Christians of this city, and presenting Educational and
health services for them, and it has used its own methods to deliver support in
various services by opening many schools, charitable institutions, and health
that these services were a prelude to the Crusader invasion again of Libyan
centers to take care of them, but it was later found through some Arab studiesthat these services were a prelude to the Crusader invasion again of Libyan
lands.
