تم دراسة البيئة والتوزيع الجغرافي لأنواع أربعة أجناس مختلفة ضمن عشيرة Heliantheae النامية في العراق .وتبيــن من خلال الدراسة إن النويع Xanthium strumarium subsp. strumarium L. هو أكثرها انتشاراً في المقاطعات الجغرافية العراقية وأكثرها تحملاً للظروف البيئية المختلفة، وتبيـن أيضا إن النوعان Bidens tripartita L. وXanthium spinosum L. هما ذات انتشار محدود إلى حد ما. كما رسمت خرائط التوزيع الجغرافي لجميع الأنواع المدروسة

Ecological and Geographical distribution of Iraqi species in four genera in tribe Heliantheae were reviewed . Xanthium strumarium subsp. strumarium L. was the most common and wide spread taxa and wide ecological tolerances.
Bidens tripartita L. and Xanthium spinosum L. were found rather rare , Maps for geographical distribution for all species were illustrated.
