Dr. Shawky completed his Ph.D. in Plant Ecology and Taxonomy, from Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt (2015), and a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences (Botany), from Faculty of Science, Minia University, Egypt (2010). He held a position as a (Demonstrator) at Faculty of Science, Minia University (2001 - 2002), then moved to work as an Assistant Researcher at Desert Research Center (2003 - 2012), and a Researcher Assistant (2012 - 2015), then a (lecturer) Assistant Professor (2015-2022), then Associate Professor (2022 - now). Also, Dr. Shawky has been an expert of Ecology Plant Genetic Resources at the League of Arab States focused on developing the natural resources (2016-2017). Currently, Dr. Shawky works as an Associate Professor in Biological Science (Plant Ecology, Flora and Taxonomy in University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Oman. He is the author or inventor on more than 17 papers in ISI-indexed Journal and 3 books in national and international publisher and. Also, he Participate in many international and national Projects, training courses and workshops.
