Industrial applications related to materials structure, properties, processing, and performance of semiconductors, alloys, polymers, ceramics, and composites. Theoretical research covers areas of the electronic structure of diamond, zincblende, and hexagonal structures, using density functional theory, semiempirical and Hartree-Fock theories. These theories are applied to solid-state, nanophysics and molecular calculations.
