الغرض من هذه الدراسة التعرف على دقة النقد عند ابن تغري بردي، ومدى موضوعيته، وأهم الركائز التي استند عليها في ذلك، فضلاً عن الدوافع الكامنة وراء ذلك النقد، ولنقف من خلالها على حقيقة ذلك النقد؟ وهل كان نقده موضوعياً أو غير ذلك؟ ويتم هذا من خلال دراسة مؤلفاته، ومنهجه في تدوين التاريخ، إذ يعد العمل التاريخي عملاً نقدياً، لذا يجب على المؤرخ فيه ان يكون موضوعياً لا يتأثر بالميول والأهواء الشخصية، والغرض من هذه الدراسة التعرف على دقة النقد عند ابن تغري بردي، وأهم الامور التي استند عليها في ذلك، فضلاً عن الدوافع من وراء ذلك النقد.
وقد اعتمد الباحث على منهج المقارنة والتحليل في عرض الروايات التاريخية، من حيث توافقها او معارضتها لما جاء به المؤرخ ابن تغري بردي، لغرض الوقوف على مدى دقته في النقد وما إلى ذلك من أمور توضح فيما إذا كانت الشخصيات التي انتقدوها تستحق النقد أم لا.
وقسمت هذه الدراسة الى اربع محاور، تطرقت في المحور الاول: السيرة الشخصية لابن تغري بردي، والثاني: تطرقت فيه نقد اصحاب القرار السياسي، اما في المحور الثالث تناولت نقد امراء الوظائف العسكرية، واخيراً بحثت في نقد القضاة.

The purpose of this study is to identify the accuracy of the criticism of Ibn Tanger Baradi, and the extent of objectivity, and the main pillars on which it was based, as well as the motives behind that criticism, and to stand by the fact of that criticism? Was his criticism objective or otherwise? This is done through the study of his writings, and his methodology in the codification of history, as the historical work is a critical work, so the historian must be objectively not influenced by tendencies and personal appetites, and the purpose of this study to recognize the accuracy of criticism at the son of tempting Berdy, In it, as well as the motives behind that criticism.
The researcher relied on the method of comparison and analysis in the presentation of historical narratives, in terms of compatibility or opposition to the statements of the historian Ibn Taghri Bardi, in order to determine the accuracy of the criticism and other things that indicate whether the characters who criticized deserve criticism or not.
The study was divided into four axes, which focused on the first theme: the biography of a son who tempted Baradi; the second was the criticism of political decision makers; the third dealt with criticism of the emirs of military posts.
