الملخص الانجليزي
This article included synthesis and characterization of new cobalt(II), copper(II), nickel(II), manganese(II) and zinc(II) complexes with phthalic anhydride (PL) ligand using a mole ratio of 1 Metal: 2 PL. The as-prepared complexes were characterized using UV-Vis, FTIR, 1H-NMR, elemental analysis and magnetic susceptibility. The measurements indicate that PL ligand was linked to the divalent metal ions as bridging bidentate through oxygen atoms. The microbicide activity for the as-prepared complexes against four types of bacteria (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis) was achieved. Moreover, the stability of the complexes on laser beam was demonstrated and the results prove that the complexes were not affected by the laser beams used for 10-30 seconds.
