- DEVELOPMENT OF LANGUAGE SKILLS CURRICULUM FOR FOREIGN LEARNERS: THE EXPERIENCE OF AL – MADINAH INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY AS A CASE STUDY (A DECRIPTIVE ANALITICAL STUDY) The field of Language Studies has confirmed the vital role played by Co-Curricular activities and how such activities are meant to perfect what the students learn in their classroom. There are different types of Co-Curricular activities such as School Internal Broadcasting, Newspaper Publishing, Television, Free reading, Drama, Literary group, Speech and Lecture Group, Library Group, (Blueprint and Electronic) Book companion, Assemblies, Debate, Educational Picnics, Language Discussion group, Electronic Discussion forum, etc. The Al-Madinah International University has known the importance of International Language since its establishment till date, in terms of its Sociological importance, Civilization, Political, etc. In view of these, the University had established the Centre of Languages to prepare a proficiency test in the current language; with the use of contemporary Instructional materials which will enable the successful students gain admission into the University Faculties. For the Centre of Languages to achieve its aim, different academic and Co-Curricular programs were put in place with aim of developing the Language Skills of its students. To actualize the aim of this research, it has been divided into chapters and Conclusion. The first chapter entails the fundamental of Language skills and its types, while second chapter discussed the Nature of Co-Curricular activities, its kinds and how it can be used to develop Language skills. And lastly, the third chapter was based on the use of Co-Curricular forum by the Centre of Languages to develop language skills among the foreign students. Among the major results for the study is that the Centre of languages in Al-Madinah International University use various activities aims by developing the student’s language skills, such as trips, educational visits, cultural competitions, public speaking, debate, and public meetings. The paper Calls in its conclusion the authority of Al-Madinah International University to conduct field studies to know the extent to which students of the Centre of languages have been benefit in the extra-curricular activities, know the quality of these activities, and the student’s favorite activities.
