بعد نهاية الحرب الباردة وتجزئة الاتحاد السوفيتي السابق شهد النظام العالمي ما سميّ بالقطبية الأُحادية لصالح الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، فنهاية القرن العشرين أتسمت بسيطرة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية غلى العالم كقوة عظمى(Super Power)، لكن مع مطلع القرن الحادي والعشرين شهد العالم صُعود مجموعة من القوى الدولية من مناطق مختلفة من العالم تعرف ب(القوى الصاعدة)، تمتاز هذه القوى بكونها تحمل مشروع التنافس على المكانة الدولية، تتمثل في كبرى الاقتصادات الناشئة، كان من شأن بروزها أن يحدث تغييراً كبيراً في خريطة توزيع القوى في النظام الدولي.

former Soviet Union ، the world system witnessed what was called
unipolarity in favor of the United States of America. The end of the
twentieth century was marked by the control of the United States of
America over the world as a superpower ، but with the beginning of the
twenty-first century the world witnessed the rise of a group of
international powers From different regions of the world known as
(rising powers) ، these forces are distinguished by the fact that they
carry the project of competition for international status ، represented in
the largest emerging economies ، whose emergence would have
caused a major change in the map of the distribution of forces in the
international system.
