من خلال هذا البحث سنتناول مفهوم التسامح الديني لغة واصطلاحا في الفكر الغربي والفكر الإسلامي، إضافة إلى التفصيل في التسامح الديني في المسيحية وذلك ببيان النصوص المقدسة من التوراة والإنجيل الداعية إلى ذلك وما يعارضها من نصوص أخرى تدعوا إلى التسامح، وذكر نماذج من التعصب المسيحي، ثم ننتقل إلى مفهوم التسامح الديني بالتفصيل في الإسلام، وكيف حارب الإسلام التعصب و العصبية الدينية، ثم إيراد نماذج من السيرة النبوية للتسامح الديني في الإسلام، وأخيرا نعرض مقارنة لأوجه الشبه والإختلاف بين المسيحية والإسلام حول النصوص المقدسة والتطبيق العملي للتسامح الديني.

In this paper, we will address the concept of religious tolerance in the Western thought and Islamic thought, in addition to detailing religious tolerance in Christianity by presenting the sacred texts of the Torah and the Bible, and the other texts that call for tolerance. We then turn to the concept of religious tolerance in detail in Islam, how Islam fought religious fanaticism, and then to introduce examples of the prophetic biography of religious tolerance in Islam. Finally, we present a comparison of the similarities between Christianity and Islam, and Finally we'll have the Religious Tolerance practically.
