تم التحري عن المحتوى الفينولي والفلافونويدي في المستخلصات الكحولية للأوراق والرؤوس الزهرية لأنواع وأجناس العائلة الربيعية النامية في العراق. وقد فصلت المركبات الفلافونويدية باستعمال صفائح السليكا الرقيقة Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) والمذيب n-Butanol: Acetic acid : Water (BAW) ، وصنفت تلك المركبات اعتماداً على قيمة Relative flow (Rf) وألوان المركبات تحت الأشعة فوق البنفسجية Ultraviolet (UV) فضلا عن بعض المصادر . بالإضافة إلى ذلك تم الكشف لونياً عن وجود المركبات الفينولية والقلويدية والصابونية والتانينية والايمودين باستخدام عدد من الكواشف وأيضا قُدرت كمية البروتين الكلية في تلك الأنواع.

Flavonoid contents were investigated in Alcoholic extract of leaves and heads for genera and species of Primulaceae grown in Iraq. Flavonoids compounds were isolated by using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and BAW solvent. These compounds were classified according to their Relative flow (Rf) value, color under Ultraviolet (UV) and some references. In addition Flavonoids, Alkaloids, Saponins, Tannins, and Imodin compounds were detected by using some color indicated; Total protein was also detected in these species
