- The aim of the research is to clarify the geographical distribution of the proportion of women in Iraq, the proportion of women who are subjected to domestic violence, according to the county. Domestic violence against women has multiple forms and images and has serious damage. It has been shown through the contrast of the geographical distribution of women in Iraq, according to the administrative unit and higher levels who are subjected to domestic violence with different ratios, according to the county in the study area as a result of several factors, the most important social and economic factors, where the percentage of women in the total population aged 50-54 years 49.3% in Iraq in 2011, and the province of Nineveh, the highest proportion of between the governorates of Iraq in the same year (53.7%), while the lowest was of the share of the Duhouk governorate (39.2%), and 40.5% of married women in Iraq are subjected to man's domination and economic conflicts, and 23.2% of them are subjected to psychological violence, verbal and physical abuse, and the highest The following percentage of women have been subjected to the men and women were in the Al- Anbar governorate Province grew by 60.9% of the total women, the lowest recorded in the province of Erbil l governorate and 11.7% , the highest percentage recorded Maysan Governorate married women psychological, verbal and physical violence battered it reached 62.3%, the lowest percentages were the share of Kirkuk governorate, and amounting to 9%
