Served as Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, the Department of Computer Engineering from 1992 to 2003, and then a Dean of the College of Engineering from 2003 to 2007 in the same university. - Head of Department of Computer Engineering in Al- Mamoon University College, Baghdad- Iraq ( 2016-2021). - Spent one Sabbatical year in Aleppo University, Syria (Oct 2006 to Sept 2007) and one year as a Visiting Professor at the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan (Oct. 2007 to Sept. 2008). - Published more than 80 research papers in national and international conferences and journals. - Supervised more than 70 MSc and PhD theses. - Current research interests include intelligent optimization techniques, computer-aided design of large electrical circuits, analog and digital signal processing, solar tracking systems, and design of smart home management systems. - A Life Fellow Member of the IETE, India (FIETE), and a Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE). - Has served as Chief Editor and Editorial Member for several national and international scientific journals. - Reviewed many articles for several national and international journals and conferences.
