الملخص العربي
The upward forced convection between two smooth vertical plates is investigated experimentally. The aim of this work is the study of the local heat transfer phenomena. Concerning experimentation: the n-pentane is used as a working fluid, the independent variables are velocity in the range from 0.04 m/s to 0.086 m/s and the heating power with values between 1.8 and 7.36 W/cm2. The results show that the local Nusselt number distribution is not uniform along the channel, however a uniformity is observed for the mean Nusselt number for Reynolds number under 1600. A new correlation for local fluid temperature is established as a function of local wall temperature. The sub-boiling regime has cooled the wall's temperature; therefore, the local heat transfer coefficient increased. The thermal equilibrium study showed that for the critical Reynolds number less than 1500; the fluid absorbed almost all the heat flux generated by the heater cartridges.
