لا يزال بعض العلماء والمؤرخين لم يتناولون دراسة مناطق الشرق الإسلامي والبحث في مجال حقوق الإنسان والعدالة والتسامح في القرون الماضية ، ضناً منهم بأن تلك القرون قد خلت من العدالة والمساواة بين الناس وتركوا الباحثين في حيرة من الأمر ،ولكن لو رجعنا إلى مرحلة ما قبل الإسلام لنجد هناك بوادر لتهيئة النفس البشرية أولا والمجتمع ثانيا ، من حيث العقائد وتقبل القوانين الربانية الجديدة ليبزغ نور الإسلام على المعمورة ويكون صراع ما بين الخير والشر في حسابات لا يقدرها إلا الله الواحد الأحد، وعندما تنطلق الجيوش من الجزيرة العربية لحمل رسالة العدل والمساواة ونشر الإسلام، فهناك متطلبات يجب على القائد الذي يتولى زمام الأمور بأن يحملها معه كعدة الحرب ولكن قبلها عدة الإقناع والقبول بشروط قدرها الله أحسن تقدير ، ومن ثم عدة الحرب ، فكان دائما شرط عرض الإسلام أولا وقبل كل شيء. ومدينتي طبرستان وجرجان نموذج لنشر الإسلام والصلح والهدنة والتعايش السلمي في ظل الدولة والإسلامية لما حملته من تسامح عظيم ، ونعتقد دراسة هذه الحالة مهمة، لأن الصلح يعني التوقف عن الحرب والنقض البدء في الحرب وهذا ما حصل في تلك المناطق المفتوحة ، لنشر الإسلام فيها على أساس شروط الصلح وهي ملزمة للطرفين ، والنقض لمرات عدة فيه دلائل واضحة على أن الناس يريدون العيش بسلام ونعيم ولكن قيادات تلك المناطق لا يريدون ذلك ضنا منهم انتزاع الكبرياء والقوة أمام قبائلهم ولكن المساواة بين الجميع جعلهم ينقضوا العهد وفي كل مرة يتبين أن قادة الفتح الإسلامي حريصون كل الحرص على عدم المساس بكرامة الإنسان لأنهم عرفوا معنى الكرامة عند دخولهم الإسلام عندما كان الإنسان يباع في تلك المناطق ويشترى فيها وهذا ما يتطلب من قيادات المسلمين من الخلفاء والأمراء وقيادات الجيش نشر الإسلام في تلك المناطق ليعم الخير والمساواة بين أفراد المجتمع. وقسم البحث إلى مبحثين الأول التسمية والموقع ،الصلح في طبرستان،طرستان في العصر الأموي،المبحث الثاني ،جرجان ، تسمية جرجان وموقعها ،دخولها الاسلام، اصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في جرجان ، التوصيات
