الملخص العربي
According to biotopes diversity, the Smir Marshes (M'diq, NW of Morocco) is considered as the unique representative wetland of Mediterranean ecosystems of the western Rif. Floristic inventories and vegetation profiles were established and 88 wetland species were identified. Vegetal communities were identified and their ecology was studied. The evaluation of aboveground maximal biomass in 13 plant groupings underlines three plant groups; those biomass reached 84.3 g/m2, 1076 g/m2 and 2233 g/m2 respectively. This distinction was determined exclusively by plant size and population density. The development of different plant groupings was discussed according to local conditions and major planning works.
