لا تزال كثير من المخطوطات النحوية العمانية غير محققة، وهي تتراوح في حالتها المادية وقيمتها العلمية، وقد رأينا أن نقتصر على تسليط الضوء على نموذجين من المخطوطات أحدُهما حُقِّقَ والآخر لايزال ينتظر التحقيق، فأما النموذج الأول المحقق فهو المنظومة النحوية المنسوبة إلى الخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي، وأما الذي لم يحقق فهو منظومة "الفريدة المرجانية في علوم النحو وبيان العربية" لأحمد بن مانع الناعبي، وذلك لأن الأولى أثارت ضجة علمية بنسبتها إلى شخصية الخليل البارزة، وأما الثانية فلأن لها علاقة بجانب من هذه الضجة.

Many of the Omani grammatical manuscripts are still unverified, and they range in their physical condition and their scientific value, and we have decided to confine ourselves to shedding light on two models of manuscripts, one of which has been verified and the other is still awaiting investigation. As for what was not investigated, it is the system “Al-Fareeda al-Marjali fi Ulum al-Nahw wa Biyan al-Arabiyyah” by Ahmed bin Mani’ al-Na’bi, because the first caused a scientific uproar attributing it to the prominent personality of al-Khalil, and as for the second, it is related to an aspect of this uproar.
