تأتي هذه الدراسة لتنظر فيما جاءت به نظرية التخييل عند حازمالقرطاجني؛ من أجل مقاربة هذه الرؤية بالمنجز النقدي المعاصر، وحتى يكون هناك نوع من التماسك بين فعل النص واندماج القارئ النفسي، وفق بصمات مشاعر الخبرة الثقافية وتجربة الممارسة الإبداعية.
والمماثلة تبعا لنهج القدامى تُعنَى بما يريده الشاعر من الإشارة إلى "معنى، فيضع كلاما يدل على معنى آخر، وذلك المعنى والكلام منبئان عما أراد أن يشير إليه"، وإذا كان الأمر كذلك عند معظم النقاد العرب، فإنها عند حازم ضرب من التخييل التأملي.
وإذا كان معظم نقادنا القدامى يتصلون في منجز دراساتهم بالتجربة الظاهرية، فإن تجربة القرطاجني تجاوزت المألوف للخوض في معرفة العوالم الباطنية بإرجاع الأمور إلى أصولها الإبداعية، قصد إدراك البيان الدلالي الإضماري.

This study comes to consider the imagination theory of Hazim alQartajanni; in order to approach this vision with the contemporary criticism, and fo achkve cohesion between the act of the text and the psychological integration of the reader, according to the cultural expertise and the experience of creative practice. Similarity according to the old approach deals with what the poet wants of the reference to "the meaning, and then formulate words that indicates another meaning, and that meaning and speech inform what he wanted to point out." If that was the case with most Arab critics, for Hazim al-Qartajanni it was a contemplat1 ive imagination. If the studies of most of our ancient critics are characterized by virtual experience, the experience of Hazim al-Qartajanni exceeded the uncommon to go into the knowledge of the inner worlds by returning things to creative assets, in order to realize the elliptical semantic representation.
