Abstract
Most countries are seeking to
develop the academic field by
providing e-education at a high
level, and Malaysia is one of them.
Malaysia, indeed, has employed
online platforms in its educational
programs; and the International
Islamic University Malaysia is the
first institution to engage itself to
do so. Hence, this study aims to first
shed light on the importance of
Arabic in Malaysian academics,
second explore the university
experience in teaching Arabic to
non-native speakers using network
education, and third discover the
most important technical methods
and tools, web platforms and field
experiments employed by this
institution in teaching Arabic. This
research adopted a qualitative
research method and applied a
descriptive-theoretical analysis.
After analysis and description, the
study found that Arabic occupies a
great place and importance in the
International Islamic University of
Malaysia in particular and the
whole country in general. The
research also showed that the
University employed the most
prominent innovative and advanced
electronic and technical means,
created several platforms, and
followed realistic and successful
contemporary and advanced
methods in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers
