يهدف الكتاب الى دراسة صناعة الاسمنت جغرافيا من حيث العوامل المساعدة على قيام هذه الصناعة والتوزيع الجغرافي لها ووسائل النقل المستخدمة في نقل هذا المنتوج وعدد العمال العاملين فيها وعدد المصانع وقيمة الاستثمارات في هذه الصناعة وفي النهاية يأتي دراسة المشكلات التي تعاني منها هذه الصناعة والمشكلات التي تسببها وتأثيرها على العاملين والسكان القريبين من تلك الصناعة
