هدف الدراسة الكشف عن أهم القيم البيئية المتضمنة في كتب التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية لمرحلة التعليم الأساسي الدنيا في الأردن من خلال تحليل محتواها. تم التأكد من ثبات التحليل بإعادة التحليل حيث بلغ معامل التوافق (90%). ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم إعداد قائمة بأهم القيم البيئية، ضمنت في استبانه بلغ عدد فقراتها (33) فقرة موزعة على خمسة مجالات، تم التأكد من صدقها بعرضها على مجموعة من المحكمين، ومن ثباتها بطريقة الاختبار وإعادته، وبلغ معامل الثبات الكلي (80.8%)0 تم تحليل الكتب في ضوء قائمة القيم البيئية وبعد جمع البيانات وتحليلها إحصائيا، أظهرت النتائج أن: توافر القيم البيئية في كتب التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية للصف الأول والصف الثاني كانت أكثر الكتب توافراً بالقيم البيئية من كتاب التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية للصف الثالث. وجاء مجال حماية البيئة من التلوث في المرتبة الأولى. ووجود تطابق بين توزيع القيم البيئية في كتب التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية للمرحلة الأساسية الدنيا في الأردن نتيجة لتحليل محتواها وبين التوزيع الذي قدّره المحكمون، ووجود تكامل بين الكتب الثلاثة في تضمين القيم البيئية.
وأوصت الدراسة بـ: ضرورة اطلاع مخططي المناهج ومؤلفي الكتب المدرسية على القيم البيئية في كتب التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية للصفوف الأولى الثلاثة، والمستجدات التي تطرأ على مستوى العالم وخاصة في المجال التقدير البيئي وضرورة تحديث منهاج التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية ليشتمل القيم البيئية المتضمنة في أداة الدراسة، وتنظيم منهاج التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية للصفوف الثلاثة الأولى من المرحلة الأساسية في الأردن في ضوء القيم البيئية العالمية والمحلية والموازنة بينها

This study aimed at exploring the most important environmental values contained in the national and social education textbooks for elementary education stage in Jordan through analyzing its content, then proving the analysis consistency by re-analyzing, consistency coefficient was (90%).
To achieve the study's goal, a set of the most important environmental values were prepared, included a questionnaire consisted of (33) item, distributed at five fields, then checked for validity by submitting it to a group of arbitrators, then checked for its consistency by using Test-re-Test, the overall consistency coefficient was (80.8%).
Also, analyzing the textbooks in the light of a set of environmental values.
After statically gathering and analyzing data, the results revealed that the presence of environmental values in the national and social textbooks for the first and second elementary grades were with more environmental values than the textbooks for the third grade.
The field protecting the environment from pollution came at the first rank, and the presence of consistency between the distribution of the ecological value in the national and social education textbooks for the lower elementary stage in Jordan as a result of analyzing its content and between the distribution estimated by the arbitrators, and the presence of integration between the three textbooks by containing the ecological values.
The study recommended the need for curriculum planners and the authors of the textbooks to know the environmental values in the national and social textbooks for the first three grades, and the updates that occurs at the global level, specially in the field environmental estimates, and the need to modernize the national and social education curriculum to include the environmental values presented in the study's instrument
