جاءت الدراسة تحمل عنوان خطبة حجة الوداع وقضايا الساعة، وهو موضوع جدير بالدراسة غير أنه يتششعب إلى شعب كثيرة وأهميته تكمن في معاناة إنسان اليوم، من عدد من المشاكل الآنية يقف المجتمع الدولي أمامها مكبل الأيادي،ولا يجرؤ على طرحها أو مناقشتها بشفافية،؛ لما قد يترتب على ذلك من نزاعات وصراعات.
كذلك تهدف الدراسة إلى الوقوف على الكيفية التي عالج بها المصطفى ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ في هذه الخطبة الجامعة الشاملة بعض قضايا الساعة ( موضوع الدراسة) التي فرضتها طبيعة العصر وأرقت مضجع المجتمع المسلم بصورة خاصة والمجتمع الدولي بصورة عامة.وما أحوج الأمة الإسلامية اليوم إلى التخلص من كل مظاهر السلبية والضعف والتضعضع، الذي أصابها، فضلًاعن ذلك فالمجتمع الدولي في أمس الحاجة إليها في هذا العصر، الذي كثرت فيه المحن والإحن، وإلى هذا المعنى أشار أحمد الصويان:" وضع الرسول ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـبين عينيه أهدافًا جليلة بعيدة المدى استحثت النفوس الحية والهمم العالية، للوصول إليها دون أن تصاب بالإحباط أو اليأس لعارض طارئ من العوارض القريبة؛ فهي دعوة لتوسيع أفق وتعميق النظر والانطلاق إلى تلك الرحاب بواسطة استشراف آفاق المستقبل غير المنظور ومن ثم السعى الحثيث لإستثمارالحاضر بكل إمكانياته؛ لبناء المستقبل وترسيخه وإزالة عوائقه ومشكلاته"
كذلك تأتي هذه الدراسة في وقت تعيش فيه الأمة المسلمة والعالم بأسره وضعًا حرجًا وتتعرض لضغوط كثيرة؛ منها المادي ومنها المعنوي؛ وأصيبت العزائم بالوهن والنفوس بالإحباط ، وأصبحت الرؤية للمستقبل سوداوية،أو ضبابية، وكان لابد من سبر أغوار هذه المشكلة،وشحذ الهمم وبث الحياة في النفوس التي أصابها التعب، وأرهقها الأرق، وذلك بالتمسك بما ورد في كتاب الله تعالى والسنة النبوية الشريفة من أوامر وتوجيهات ووصايا،وعلى الرغم من كثرة الدراسات التي تناولت خطبة حجة الوداع من زوايا مختلفة ؛ لكن اقتصرت هذه الدراسة على دراسة أربعة نقاط فقط.
لعلة من نافلة القول الإشارة إلى أن الخطبة أنوذجًا في الفصاحة والبلاغة وقوة السبك،والوحدة الموضوعية، فضلًاعن الإقناع والإمتاع؛ الذي يحس به السامع، كذلك وحدة المشاعر ؛ مما أفضى إلى اكتمال النص في أسمى صوره ومعانيه وقام كل محور من المحاور بشرح وظيفته ومهمته مما أدى إلى تكامل العملية الإبداعية.

Perhaps it goes without saying that the sermon is a model of eloquence, rhetoric, strength of casting, and objective unity, as well as persuasion and enjoyment. which the listener feels, as well as the unity of feelings; Which led to the completion of the text in its highest form and meaning, and each of the axes explained its function and mission, which led to the integration of the creative process
