تناولت في هذه الدراسة قراءة في متغيرات النص الجاهلي شخصية الشاعر الجاهلي عنترة بن شداد العبسي؛ الذي فرضت عليه الأعراف الجاهلية أن يعيش تحت ذل العبودية، وهو في رحم أمه.
لم يخضع عنترة للضغوط الاجتماعية، ولكنه تمكن بعزم لا يلين، وصبر الرجل الحليم، أن يحول كل السلبيات في حياته إلى إيجابيات، من خلال تمسكه بعدد من المبادىء، والقيم الفاضلة. وحاولت الوقوف على كل القيم والمبادىء التي التزم بها عنترة في حياته، وذلك من خلال دراسة ما جادت به قريحته من لغة القوافي، وكيف أثرت هذه القيم والمثل في تشكيل محاور هذه الشخصية العصامية.
من خلال هذه القيم؛ تمكنت من فك رموز شخصية عنترة من الناحية النفسية والناحية المادية. كما حاولت الرد على عدد من التساؤلات التي قد تدور في بال القراء: هل كان لعنترة استعداد فطري ليلتزم بهذه القيم والأخلاق الفاضلة ؟ وهل كان التزامه وتمسكه بهذه القيم، والمبادئ تحت بعض الضغوط الاجتماعية التي فرضتها عليه العادات والتقاليد الجاهلية؟

In this study, a reading in the variables of the pre-Islamic text dealt with the personality of the pre-Islamic poet Antarah ibn Shaddad al-Absi; The one who was imposed on him by the ignorant customs to live under the humiliation of slavery, while he is in his mother’s womb
Antara did not succumb to social pressures, but he was able, with unrelenting determination and the patience of a gentle man, to turn all the negatives in his life into positives, through his adherence to a number of principles and virtuous values. And I tried to find out all the values and principles that Antara adhered to in his life, by studying what was found in his reading of the language of rhymes, and how these values and ideals affected the formation of the axes of this self-made personality
Through these values; I was able to decipher Antara's personality from the psychological and physical aspects. I also tried to answer a number of questions that might arise in the minds of readers: Did Antara have an instinctive willingness to adhere to these virtuous morals and values? Was his commitment and adherence to these values and principles under some of the social pressures imposed on him by pre-Islamic customs and traditions?
