This study aims to understand the phenomenon of online preaching by studying the differences between mosque and online Ramadan sermons in the light of the closure of mosques due to the (COVID-19) prevention measures. Preachers have moved to social media platforms. The study seeks to understand the communicative dimensions of both types of communications, for this purpose, the study follows the descriptive and analytical approach and adopts a statistical analysis method by analyzing an exploratory sample. The study concluded that the preachers have the skills of public speaking skills in delivering mosque sermons than the online ones. However, their technical skills in dealing with electronic technologies need to be developed to ensure they can attract more audience through social media. Technical problems negatively impact the observance of religious sermons, especially among males.
