بلغ الإحتياطي النقدي الأجنبي المصري في نهاية عام 2019 ما يقرب من 46 مليار دولار أمريكي، وقد تراجع إلى 36 مليار دولار في نهاية مايو 2020، وفقاً لبيانات البنك المركزي المصري ويعود ذلك لتراجع بعض مصادر العملة الأجنبية في البلاد، لذلك تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على إنعكاس جائحة كورونا على مصادر النقد الأجنبي في مصر، ولتحقيق ذلك الهدف إعتمد الباحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال تناول المعلومات والدراسات الخاصة بموضوع البحث، مع الإستعانة بالمنهج الكمي في عرض البيانات وتحليلها، حيث يركز الباحث على ثلاث مصادر أساسية للنقد الأجنبي وهي إيرادات السياحة، وإيرادات قناة السويس، وتحويلات العاملين بالخارج، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن جائحة كورونا ساهمت في خفض الاحتياطي النقدي الاجنبي المصري نتيجة إنخفاض ايرادات الدولة من العملة الصعبة مما سيساهم في زيادة الاقتراض الخارجي وإنخفاض قيمة العملة الوطنية.

The Egyptian foreign cash reserve at the end of 2019 reached nearly 46 billion US dollars, and
it decreased to 36 billion dollars at the end of May 2020, according to the data of the Central Bank
of Egypt and this is due to the decline of some sources of foreign currency in the country, so this
study object to identify The impact of the Corona pandemic on foreign exchange sources in Egypt,
and in order to achieve that goal the researcher relied on the descriptive and analytical approach
by addressing information and studies on the research topic, with the help of the quantitative
approach in presenting and analyzing data, as the researcher focuses on three main sources of
foreign exchange, which are tourism revenues, And the revenues of the Suez Canal, and
remittances of workers abroad, and the study found that the Corona pandemic contributed to
reducing the Egyptian foreign monetary reserve due to the decrease in the state's revenues from
hard currency, which will contribute to an increase in external borrowing and a decrease in the
value of the national curren
