تتسم تدفقات الإستثمار الأجنبي المباشر الواردة إلى مصر بالتذبذب من سنة إلى أخرى من حيث القيمة، ويرجع ذلک إلى أن مناخ الإستثمار في مصر يتسم بالحساسية وفق التطوارات المحلية. وقد تکون عوامل أو محددات هذا الإستثمار ممثلة في الأداء اللوجستي، الإستقرار الإقتصادي الکلي، رأس المال البشري، وفرة الموارد الطبيعية، حجم السوق، الإجراءات الحکومية. وتم إختبار هذه العوامل وثبت أن الأکثر تأثيراً هي الأداء اللوجستي، حجم السوق. هذا ويعتبر مشروع محور قناة السويس مشروع قومي، من الممکن أن يحقق نتائج إقتصادية للإقتصاد الوطني من خلال إقامة مناطق لوجستية به.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) flows into Egypt fluctuate from
year to year in terms of value, due to the fact that the
investment climate in Egypt is sensitive according to local
conditions. The factors or determinants of this investment may
be represented in logistic performance, macroeconomic
stability, human capital, abundance of natural resources, market
expansion and government actions. These factors were tested
and proved to be the most influential logistical performance and
market expansion. The project of the Suez Canal axis is a
national project, which can achieve economic results for the
national economy through the establishment of logistics zones.
