Estimated emissions of gases and particulate matter from two Portland cement plants near Khoms city in northwestern
Libya by computer simulation reveal that the SO2, NOx and dust emissions exceed selected international standard limits. The results
highlight the need for improved operational procedures to minimize emissions and avoid any possible adverse environmental effects.
