تأتي هذه الورقة البحثية متناولة موضوع الوقف في الفقه الإسلامي، ومساهمته في تمويل التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.
أوردت فيها الباحثة عدة مواضيع عن الوقف الإسلامي، وتحدثت فيها عن تعريف الوقف متطرقة إلى مفهومه من الناحية الاقتصادية والقانونية ومشروعيته وأنواعه بالإضافة إلى شروطه وأركانه، كما تم التطرق إلى مفهوم التنمية الاقتصادية و الاجتماعية ودور الوقف ومساهمته في تمويلهما لتحقيق التنمية الشاملة في المجتمع وخلص البحث إلى أن الوقف يعد من ركائز الاقتصاد الإسلامي نظرا لكونه من الأنظمة التي تركت بصماتها البارزة على الحياة في المجتمع الإسلامي منذ نشأته إلى وقتنا المعاصر، من خلال ما أحدثه من آثار اجتماعية و اقتصادية متنوعة.

The aim of this paper is to study the issue of " waqf " (Islamic Endowment) in Islamic jurisprudence and its contribution to economic and social development, the intervention dealt with the concepts of the Islamic endowment in terms of legal ,economic terms and types in addition to its conditions, elements and importance in Islam.
We also interested in defining the concept of economic and social development and the role of the Waqf and its contribution in financing them to achieve comprehensive development in society
The research concluded that the Waqf is one of the important elements in the Islamic economy because it is one of the systems that has left a prominent impact on life in the Islamic society since its inception to our time, through its various social and economic effects.
