يتناول البحث موقف دولة الدانمارك من الانضمام لحلف شمال الاطلسي والدوافع التي دفعت هذه الدولة للانضمام الى هذا الحلف خلافا لبقية دول شمال اوربا ولاسيما دول الاسكندنافية الاخرى مثل السويد وايسلندا وغيرها وحرص الولايات المتحدة الامريكية على انضمام الدانمارك الى الحلف كوسيلة لمنع الاتحاد السوفييتي من تهديد الاخيرة او التاثير عليها

The research deals with the position of the State of Denmark on joining NATO and the motives that prompted this state to join this alliance, unlike the rest of the countries of Northern Europe, especially the other Scandinavian countries such as Sweden, Iceland, and others, and the keenness of the United States of America to have Denmark join the alliance as a means to prevent the Soviet Union from threatening the latter or influencing it.
