Through my work in the Egyptian State Council, I share many duties with my workmates. My role is to listen to the parties’ claims during the preparatory(preliminary) hearings. Through the hearings, the parties should submit the supporting documents and should adopt the adequate legal characterization under the judge's supervision. Subsequently, I shall write a report with my legal opinion about each case. These reports shall provide a brief overview of the case with the necessary legal concepts, related judgments, and the adequate laws and regulations to be implemented to the facts of the case. After that, the report shall come up with a recommendation to the relevant court Furthermore, one of the Egyptian State Council’s main purposes is to revise all the bills and regulations before their issuance by the Parliament. I always participate in the debates which precede the issuance of the revised version of the bills and regulations before sending it back to the Parliament. For instance, the legislative department regularly revises the bills and regulations related to commercial practice and investment law in Egypt. This experience has given me a great opportunity to deeply understand various legal issues in administrative, investment and commercial law.
