At that time in the masjid of New college Campus, I came across a Tamil translation of the Holy Quran(one volume) which was brought out by the publishers Baquai Sons-1961 edition , I found some important information about the uniqueness in the usage of (Arabic) alphabets in the Holy Quran, in that book, hence I bought a copy of it. I understood as per the details given there are some discrepancies regarding total numbers of letters in the Holy Quran. Moreover in Quran the readers tend to consider a single verse as two verses in some places and vice versa. Owing to this there arise differences in the total number of verses as mentioned below.
