Dr. Mahmoud SAYED AHMED is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), hold Ph.D. and M.A.Sc. in civil (composite structures/materials) engineering, and B.Sc. in Construction & Building Engineering. He has expertise in the design-build projects for the Short Medium Span Bridge (SMSB), industrial-commercial-institutional (ICI) buildings, and Liquid Containing Structures (LCQ). His research and development (R&D) projects include Concrete Mix Designs (CMD), and Composite Structures/Materials (i.e. Ultra-High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete, Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers, Composite Section, Wood Composite Panel, Structural Insulated Panels, Permanent Wood Foundation, and Sandwich Structures). Dr. Mahmoud has received several awards including Ryerson Gold Medal.
