Wesam Ashour is an associate professor of Computer Science. He is currently occupying the position of assistant vice president for research and graduate affairs. Dr. Ashour got his doctoral degree in Computer science from UWS, UK, 2008. His research interests include AI, data mining and clustering analysis. He has published over 45 articles in refereed journals and conferences proceedings, two books chapters, one book and technical reports. Dr. Ashour has been a reviewer/ member of many program committees. Dr. Ashour has supervised 11 Master Students, and evaluated and examined proposals and thesis for at least 20 Master students in his department. His Google-scholar citation is 557 (453 since 2012), h-index is 13 (11 since 2012) and i10-index is 20 (15 since 2012).
