Abdulkareem Awwad is a career academic, specializing in Operations Management and Strategic Management. He is currently working as an Associate Professor of Operations Management and Strategic Management (Department of Management and Marketing) at Qatar University, Qatar. He previously was the Dean of College of Business Administration and Economics at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Jordan during the years 2008–2010. He lectures on operations management and strategic management and other management courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels. His main research lines are operations strategy, manufacturing strategy, competitive advantage, organizational performance, and total quality management. He has presented a number of papers at national and international level conferences. He has also authored numerous publications in national and international journals
