Mobile: 0097466801980 E-Mail: alshawi66.m@gmail.com m.abidalkane0107@education.qa Dr. Muna A. Al-Shawi is an Iraqi assistant professor majoring in English Language, linguistics, translation. Al-Shawi earned the Ph. D. in the field of Theory & translation Practice, University Sains Malaysia (USM)/ Malaysia in 2015. She got the master’s degree in English Literature / College of Languages/ Baghdad University- Iraq, in 1998. She also earned the bachelor’s degree in English Language / College of Education for Women/ Baghdad University-Iraq. Whereas, in 2000, Dr. Al-Shawi is promoted as assistant professor after publishing many scientific researches in refereed journals. In 1988, Dr. Al-Shawi graduated from English language Department (Education) / Baghdad University- Iraq. Al-Shawi has eighteen years teaching experience of English at different universities for B.A. and M. Sc. & Ph.D. Level. In addition, Dr. Al-shawi teaches English Language for secondary schools in Iraq and Qatar. Regarding scientific research,; she published more than eleven scientific papers judged journals. Furthermore, she is an internal supervisor of some M.A. students at Hadhramout University. Dr. Al-Shawi held several senior academic and administrative positions, including supervising the practical education program of final year students for College of Education, a head of E.S.P.U. (English for Specific Purpose Unit), a head of English department and assistant professor of English language/ College of Education/ Hadhramout University/ Yemen. Additionally, Dr. Muna is enrolled in many conferences, workshops and training courses such as the the participation in Qatar Foundation Annual Research Conference (ARC March 2016). Moreover, she enrolled in many professional development courses for instance, a training course entitled “Professional Standards for Teachers of English Curriculum Standards”, English Advanced, Program 2, in 2015 and Entry- Program 1, in 2012 and many other courses as mentioned below. Dr. Al-Shawi is a member of Iraqi Forum for Intellectuals & Academics since 2014, a member of Editorial board of "Interpreter" Journal issued by Colleges of Education / Hadhramout University, Yemen, 2003- 2007 and a member of Iraqi Translation Committee, Iraq since 1998. Dr. Al-Shawi is working for Ministry of Education and Higher Education, QATAR since 2010.
