Innovation and massive development in Information Technology is driving nearly all aspects of our lives. Scientific research is much easier in digital information era than ever. Scientific researchers have been utilizing from emerging technologies for decades. One of the most useful and helpful technologies for researchers is Scientific Social Networks. It can be considered as a scientific-enabled social network. In general, these networks facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among individuals. Scientific Social Networks facilitate sharing expertise, skills, and knowledge between researchers. They can be also considered as a platform for connecting researchers to achieve scientific research collaboration among them.
This Paper aims to address the role of these networks in knowledge sharing among researchers. To recognize this, literature is reviewed concerning Knowledge Sharing, also, most popular Scientific Social Networks (e.g. Academia, and ResearchGate) are addressed, focusing on their role in knowledge sharing among researchers.
