تنطلق هذه الورقة من كون التغييرات الحاصلة في المجتمع الليبي منذ أواخر العام 2010م وبدايات العام 2011م، وضعت أساتذة علم الاجتماع في الجامعات الليبية أمام محك حقيقي إزاء ما يتعرض له المجتمع من تغييرات؛ تحتاج إلى إظهار أسلوب جديد في التشخيص، والفهم، والتنبؤ، بالتالي من حق كل سوسيولوجي أن يبتكر سوسيولوجياه، كما أن سوسيولوجيا بنت عصرها، حيث تطرح عدد من التساؤلات أهمها : هل مفاهيم علم الاجتماع ونظرياته هي حقًا اللوح محفوظة، لا يحق لنا المساس أو الاقتراب منها، أم من حقنا أن نطورها، ونبتكر مفاهيم ونظريات تتواءم وطبيعة التغييرات الحاصلة في مجتمعنا ؟ هل يحتاج علم الاجتماع إلى بيئة خاصة ليتطور كما تطور في الجامعات الغربية ؟ هل المشكلة تكمن في طبيعة النظام السياسي الرافض لأيّ نقد أو تقويم ؟ أم المشكلة تكمن في البيئة الأكاديمية في جامعاتنا، المرتبطة إلى حد كبير بطبيعة النظام السياسي الحاكم ؟ كما يرى الباحث بوجود إدراك من قبل جُلّ المشتغلين في أقسام علم الاجتماع بالجامعات الليبية بأنها مليئة بالمشاكل والتحديات، وأنها تقف حجر عثرة أمام إنتاج المعرفة العلمية، ومن ثم ليس من المستبهم علينا تحديد أهم تلك المشاكل والتحديات التي تواجه علم الاجتماع، ولكنها تحتاج إلى مزيد من الدراسة والبحث والنقاش المعمق والموسع، كما تطرح الورقة عدد من الأفكار مثل : الحاجة إلى انفتاح علم الاجتماع على من هم خارج التخصص، ففي ظل عصر المعلوماتية ومجتمع المعرفة أصبح هناك تنامٍ هائل لإنتاج المعارف، والحاجة إلى وجود كتب في علم الاجتماع لها القدرة على مخاطبة أفراد المجتمع بوضوح بشكل عام، وليس موجهة للمتخصصين من الأكاديميين، وهناك حاجة إلى فروع جديدة لعلم الاجتماع يحتاجها المجتمع، وسوق العمل، مثل علم اجتماع المستقبل، والثقافة، والأخلاق، والإعلام ووسائل الاتصال، والتطرف، ونحوها من فروع علم الاجتماع، وأخيرًا فأن بذور الحل تكمن في تبني رؤية جديدة لعلم الاجتماع، ومن ثم يكمن تصحيح المسار، وتحديد مواطن الخلل، والعمل على تلافي أسبابها باتخاذ إجراءات التصحيح المناسبة، ومواجهتها بالأسلوب الملائم من خلال التفكير والرؤية النقدية والتقويمية لوظيفة علم الاجتماع.

This paper starts from the fact that the changes in Libyan society since the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011, the professors of sociology in the Libyan universities put before the real test of the objection in philosophy, the right of every sociologist to create sociology, and sociology of her age, There are a number of questions. The most important of these questions are: Are the concepts of sociology and its theories really a board, we are not entitled to prejudice or approach them, or our right to develop them, and innovate concepts and theories that fit the nature of changes taking place in our society? Does sociology need a special environment to evolve as it has developed in Western universities? Is the problem lies in the nature of the political system that rejects any criticism or evaluation? Or the problem lies in the academic environment in our universities, which are largely related to the nature of the ruling political system? The researcher also believes that there is a realization by the majority of those working in the sociology departments of the Libyan universities that they are full of problems and challenges and that they stand in the way of producing scientific knowledge. Therefore, it is not for us to identify the most important problems and challenges facing sociology, Study, research and discussion in depth and expanded, The paper presents a number of ideas such as: the need to open up sociology to those outside the specialization. In the age of information and knowledge society, there has been a tremendous growth of knowledge production and the need for books in sociology that have the ability to address the members of society clearly in general, Oriented to the specialists of academics, new branches of sociology needed by the community, the labor market, such as sociology of the future, culture, ethics, media, communication, extremism, and other branches of sociology, Finally, the seeds of the solution are to adopt a new vision of sociology, and thus lies in correcting the path, identifying the imbalances, and working to avoid their causes by appropriate corrective measures, and address them appropriately through the thinking and vision of monetary and evaluation of the function of sociology.
