علاقة المناهج النقدية المعاصرة بالبحوث اللسانية الحديثة وطيدة، فمنذ أن أقرّ دي سوسير الدراسة الوصفية للغة أصبح بالإمكان معاملة النص كعالم مستقل تحكمه قوانين بنيوية خاصة، منها ما يخضع للنّظام اللّغوي الثّابت، ومنها ما ينزاح عنه عبر الاستعمالات النصيّة المختلفة، ومع تطوّر هذه النظرة النصيّة ، تطوّرت أدوات النقد الأدبي المساير لها، وأصبحت العلاقة بينه وبين اللسانيات أعمق. ومن بين الوشائج والصلات بين العلمين، استعارة النقد الأدبي مصطلحات اللسانيات وتحميلها أبعادا فكرية جديدة تتجاوز حدود اللغة/النظام التي نشأت في كنفها بداية، ومن بينها مصطلح (التمفصل) الذي هاجر من اللسانيات إلى النقد الموضوعاتي ليحمل إضافة إلى أسسه اللغوية أسسا نقدية جديدة سمحت للنافد الأدبي أن يتسلّح بالأدوات المنهجية الموضوعية لفك طلاسم النص اللغوية وتأويلها بحثا عن التيمة النواة في النص الأدبي.

The relation between critic’s methods and linguistic
research is strong and steady, and since the introduction of the
descriptive study of the language, De Susser has been able to treat the
text as an independent world governed by special structural laws,
some of which are subject to the fixed language system, and some of
which are removed through various textual uses. With the
development of this textual view, literary criticism has developed and
the relationship between them and linguistics has become deeper.
Among the links and connections between the two sciences,
literary criticism borrowed the terminology of linguistics and loaded it
with new intellectual dimensions that transcended the boundaries of
the language / system in which it first emerged. Among these were the
term "articulation", which migrated from linguistics to thematic
criticism, in addition to its linguistic foundations, Literary to equip
with the objective methodological tools to deconstruct the linguistic
text and interpret it in search of the central them in the literary text.
