ان مرحلة الطفولة وخاصة مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة، تعد مرحلة تكوين واعداد لملامح شخصية الطفل مستقبلا، وتتشكل فيها العادات والاتجاهات والاستعدادات والقدرات وتتكون التقاليد والانماط السلوكية، ويتحدد خلالها مسار النمو الجسمي والعقلي والنفسي والاجتماعي، طبقا لما توفره البيئة المحيطة لعناصرها التربوية والثقافية والصحية والاجتماعية، فالطفل في مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة يحتاج الى من ينظيم حياته ويهئ له بيئة مليئة بمصادر الخبرة المنظمة.
ويُعد اللعب احد المفردات الرئيسة في عالم الطفولة وانه احد ادوات التعلم واكتساب الخبرة، وبذلك يعد اللعب ورقة في غاية الاهمية في ملف الطفولة وانه مدخل اساسي في النمو العقلي والجسمي والاجتماعي والصحي والاخلاقي والانفعالي واللغوي، والكشف عن مشاعر نفسية الطفل ونفوس الاخرين من حولة واللعب بحد ذاته هو حديث الطفل، وبالتالي يساعد اللعب في تعزيز العمليات العقلية من خلال تصميم نماذج واداء حركات تتميز بالأبداع من خلال التقليد او من خلال التفكير الشخصي، وبالتالي تعزيز التفاعل الاجتماعي من خلال الممارسة الاجتماعية بين الاطفال، وبذلك حددت اهمية البحث من خلال تطبيق اللعب الانشائي بنوعيه التباعدي والتقاربي في تطوير التفكير الابداعي والتفاعل الاجتماعي لدى اطفال المرحلة العمرية المبكرة وحسب معلومات الباحثين بانها اول دراسة تعتمد على نوعين جديدين من اللعب عند الاطفال في محافظة بابل.
