يتناول هذا البحث موضوع التعلم مدى الحياة، حيث يحظى هذا الموضوع باهتمام الأفراد والمؤسسات الخاصة والعامة على حد سواء، وأشارَ البحث إلى بدايات ظهور هذا النوع من التعلم وشَرَحَ مفهومه، وأهميته في الواقع المعاصر، هذا الواقع، الذي يعيش طفرة متسارعة في جوانب الحياة المختلفة، تتطلب من المجتمع تهيئة أفراده لمواجهة الحياة وصعوباتها، وناقش البحثُ أيضاً، الواجبات الواقعة على المجتمع لتنفيذه، والفوائد التي سيجنيها الفرد والمجتمع اللذان يطبقان هذا النوع من التعلم، كما وضع البحثُ آليات تنفيذ التعلم مدى الحياة في المجتمع، وكيفية ربطه في مجالات التربية الإسلامية المختلفة، وقد خُتم البحثُ بالتوصيات والنتائج، وقد اعتمد البحثُ في مناقشته لما سبق، على المنهج الوصفي.

This research deals with the subject of lifelong learning as this subject is considered a great interest to individuals and private and public institutions alike. The research points to the beginnings of the emergence of this type of learning and clarifies its concept along with its significance in contemporary reality which is experiencing a rapid boom in different aspects of life. The research also discusses the duties of the society to implement it and the benefits to be gained by the individual as well as the society that apply this type of learning. Moreover, the research explains the mechanisms of applying lifelong learning in society and how to link it to the various fields of Islamic education. As a final note, the research concludes with the recommendations and results, noting that it depends on the descriptive approach in its discussion of the aforementioned ideas.
